Nitride bonded silicon carbide (NBSiC) kiln plates are commonly used in kiln shelves and loading plates due to their high-temperature resistance up to 1500C.
These plates are structurally ceramic materials made from high-purity SiC and Si powder through nitriding reaction, available in various forms.
They are very thin, lightweight, and contain low thermal mass. Compared to conventional kiln furniture, they are much stronger and highly resistant to wrapping, which leads them to have a much longer working life than other kiln shelves.
Features:
High-temperature resistance.
Excellent thermal shock resistance.
Low thermal expansion.
Chemical inertness.
Long service life.
Applications:
Ceramics, sanitary ware, magnetic materials, metallurgical processes, glass production, abrasives, electronic components, and other high-temperature applications.
